ZEN SAMSTAG
Ein-Tages Retreat mit Adam Papp
Your true self is always present - anytime, anywhere.
This means you can perceive it at any moment. In fact, you are already perceiving it. So why search for it else-where? Why seek itin the future? The habit of the mind is to constantly create fictions: thoughts, emotions and feelings.
Over time, we become so accustomed to these mental constructs that they become our standard, covering the simple truth of who we are, making it insufficient. But if it not enough, our mind tends to create again some more fictions. With the help of questions such as "what" rather than "why" or "how" we can aim for the truth in our own experience.
Experiencing truth with the freedom from the thoughts, perceiving before thinking – that is zen practice. This course aims to provide an understanding of the origins and core principles of the Zen tradition, explore how it differs from other Buddhist paths, and establish a strong foundation in both body posture and the inner approach to Zen meditation. The morning sessions will follow a workshop format, while the afternoon will take on a retreat-style atmosphere, including personal consultations.
The course will be held in English.
